60s/70s Chiffon Pucci Print Formal Harem Jumpsuit
60s/70s Chiffon Pucci Print Formal Harem Jumpsuit.
What a great example of the period. This glamorous harem style jumpsuit has such full gathered legs, it certainly could look like a gown with the drop crotch and all the swaths of pleated draping which gathers at the ankles.
The empire bodice has deep V with boning to keep it straight and metallic and jeweled soutache ribbon accent the neckline, v and waistline.
The marvelous Pucci style print is pinks, peach, white and chartreuse chiffon.
Appears to be hand made in poly chiffon with crepe lining in the pants and acetate lining the top. The back has a very long zipper for entry with two hook and eye closures at the top. The top hook is missing but the eye is intact.
There are two tears which are shown in the photo that are will hidden in the draping fabric. There are also stains throughout as shown however, the garment has not been cleaned or dry-cleaned since my acquisition of it. I purchased this at an antique store for the amazing example of the period. A really beautiful piece.
